A Night Out in Old Town Scottsdale in a Luxury Rental: How to Plan It Right

Old Town Scottsdale is where the Valley goes out. Within a few walkable blocks you have steakhouses, rooftop lounges, cocktail bars, art galleries and the clubs around the Entertainment District. Arriving in a luxury or exotic car turns an ordinary dinner reservation into an event, and for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette weekends or a celebration with friends, the car is often the first thing people remember. This guide covers how to plan a night out in Old Town in a luxury rental: which car fits your group, how to handle pickup and parking, and when it makes sense to let someone else do the driving.
Why Old Town Is Built for a Luxury Night Out
Old Town packs a lot into a small area. You can start with dinner near Scottsdale Road, walk to a lounge, and end the night in the Entertainment District without moving the car again. That makes it easy to plan around one arrival and one departure, which is exactly when a great car gets noticed.
The Main Areas
The Entertainment District, centered around Saddlebag Trail and Craftsman Court, is the heart of Scottsdale nightlife. The Waterfront along the Arizona Canal offers restaurants and patios with a slightly more relaxed feel. The historic Old Town blocks around Main Street and the Fifth Avenue shops are known for galleries and boutiques, which makes them a nice place for an early evening walk before dinner.
When It Gets Busy
Weekends are the busiest nights, and the crowds grow during the big Scottsdale event seasons, including spring training, golf tournament week and auction week in the winter. If your night falls during one of those stretches, book your car early and plan your parking ahead of time.
Choosing the Right Car for Your Group
The right car depends on how many people are riding with you and the impression you want to make. Our Scottsdale fleet covers both ends of that range.
For Two: Make an Entrance
If it is a date night or a night out for two, a supercar is hard to beat. The Ferrari 488 Spider and the McLaren 720S Spider both seat two and both put the top down, which is a big part of the fun on a warm Scottsdale evening. The custom silver Corvette C8 is another great two-seat option with a mid-engine look that turns heads on Scottsdale Road.
For a Small Group: The Luxury SUV
For three or four people, a luxury SUV gives everyone a comfortable seat without giving up the wow factor. The Lamborghini Urus, the Mercedes G63 and the Bentley Bentayga all bring strong curb appeal to a valet stand and plenty of room for a group dressed for dinner.
For a Bigger Group: Escalade or Navigator
If you are celebrating with a larger crew, the Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury and the Lincoln Navigator keep everyone together in one vehicle. Arriving as a group is often better than splitting into rideshares, and it keeps the photos in front of the car simple.
Pickup, Parking and Getting Home
Pickup and Delivery
You can pick up your car or have it delivered. Delivery and return within 15 miles of our office are $60 each, which covers many Scottsdale hotels and resorts. Plan your pickup or delivery for the afternoon so you have time to get comfortable with the car before the evening.
Parking in Old Town
Old Town has public parking garages and surface lots, and many restaurants offer valet. Exotic cars are low and wide, so take ramps and curbs slowly, and choose a well-lit spot. If you are leaving the car in a garage for several hours, check the posted closing time so the car is not locked in overnight.
Do Not Drink and Drive
This is the most important part of planning a night out. If anyone in your group will be drinking, the driver should not. One option is to enjoy the car for an early dinner and a sunset drive, then return it to your hotel before the night gets going. Another is to book our chauffeured Black Service, so a professional driver handles the evening while you enjoy the ride. Our rental terms also prohibit racing, speed tests or demonstrations and driving over 100 mph, so a night out is about the arrival, not about pushing the car.
What You Need to Book
Because the night is likely planned around a specific date, sort out the requirements before you get to Old Town.
Drivers must be 21 or older, and 25 or older for certain vehicles.
You need a valid driver's license and full coverage insurance in the same name, active until at least 7 days after the return.
One additional driver is allowed if they are named on the contract and sign it.
A deposit is held from 1 day before until 7 days after the rental, and you need $5,000 available. Paying by debit card means a cash deposit.
Smoking in the car forfeits the entire deposit, and late returns are $50 per 30 minutes, so plan your return time if the night runs long.
For the full list, read our terms and conditions before you book.
A Simple Old Town Night Plan
Pick up or receive the car in the afternoon and take a short drive to get comfortable with it. Head into Old Town for an early dinner reservation, valet or park close to the restaurant, and get your photos in front of the car while there is still light. After dinner, either return the car and continue the night on foot or by rideshare, or let a Black Service chauffeur take the group from venue to venue. Either way, everyone gets the experience and nobody has to choose between the car and the celebration.
