Rent Out Your Exotic Car While It's Listed for Sale: Let It Earn Until It Sells

Most exotic cars spend more time parked than driven. When an owner decides to sell, that downtime usually gets longer: the car sits in a garage, waiting for the right buyer, while insurance, storage and depreciation keep running. The Royal Rentals Lease To Own program flips that around. You list your car for sale on our website, we rent it out on our platform, and your car is making money until it sells. Here's how it works and what owners should know before they list.
The Problem With a Car That Just Sits
Selling a high-end car privately takes patience. The pool of buyers for any specific exotic is small, and the right person may not appear for a while. Meanwhile the car isn't earning anything. Many owners end up giving in and accepting a dealer's wholesale offer just to stop waiting. Why sell your car for wholesale when you had to pay retail?
How the Program Works for Owners
1. List Your Car
Start by telling us about your luxury or exotic car through the inquiry form on our Lease To Own page. Select the car owner option so a specialist knows you want to sell. We review the car and walk you through the terms. Terms and approval details are provided during consultation.
2. We Rent and Advertise It
Once your car is in the program, it's listed for sale on our website and rented out to qualified drivers on our platform. Renters in Scottsdale and Charlotte book online, so your car is in front of people who are actively looking for an exotic or luxury experience.
3. Sell for Top Dollar
Your car keeps making money until it sells. Instead of taking the first wholesale number a dealer offers, you can aim for top dollar while the car works for you.
Depreciation, Mileage and Wear: What Owners Ask First
Every owner asks the same question: what happens to my car's value if other people are driving it? Under the program, depreciation, mileage and wear and tear don't impact you. Your vehicle is covered, and Royal Rentals keeps it properly insured at all times while it's being rented and advertised on our site, so owners don't lose money. Coverage details are provided during consultation, so you'll know exactly how it applies to your car before you commit.
How We Protect Every Car on the Platform
Program cars follow the same rental rules as the rest of the Royal Rentals fleet. Those rules are spelled out in our Terms & Conditions, and renters agree to them before they ever get the keys.
Qualified drivers: Renters must be at least 21, with certain vehicles requiring drivers to be 25 or older, and must have a valid license plus active full coverage insurance in the same name.
Security deposit: A deposit is held from one day before the rental until seven days after it ends, and renters need $5,000 available.
Named drivers only: Only the renter and one additional driver named and signed on the contract may drive.
No abuse: No track use, racing, speed tests or demonstrations, no driving over 100 mph and no unpaved surfaces.
Distance limits: The car must stay within 200 miles of the pickup zip code, and daily mileage allowances apply.
Care rules: Renters must use 91 octane or higher fuel, and smoking in the vehicle forfeits the entire deposit.
Why Renters Are Good News for Sellers
A car that's out on the road in Scottsdale or Charlotte is being seen. Renters who fall in love with a car are exactly the kind of people who might want to own one. On the other side of our platform, car lovers can drive an exotic or luxury car with no credit needed through Lease To Own. Owners and buyers meet in the same place, which is why we call it a win-win.
Which Cars Fit the Program?
The program is designed for luxury and exotic vehicles: supercars, high-end SUVs and other cars that renters seek out. Our current fleet includes cars like the McLaren 720S, the Ferrari 488 and the Lamborghini Urus, which gives you a sense of what drivers book. If you're not sure your car qualifies, ask. Terms and approval details are provided during consultation.
