Barrett-Jackson Week in Scottsdale: How to Plan an Exotic Car Rental for Auction Week

White Ferrari 488 Spider parked in Scottsdale, available to rent from Royal Rentals for Barrett-Jackson auction week

Every January, car lovers from around the country descend on Scottsdale for the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale. It is a week built around cars, so it only makes sense to arrive in something worth looking at. If you are planning a Barrett-Jackson week car rental in Scottsdale, this guide covers how to choose the right car, how to plan your days and what to have ready before you book with Royal Rentals.

Why Rent an Exotic for Auction Week

Auction week is about more than the bidding floor. It brings car meets, dinners, resort parties and long drives in perfect winter weather. Rolling up in a rental supercar or luxury SUV puts you in the spirit of the week, and it gives you something memorable to drive between events. For many visitors, the rental becomes the best part of the trip.

Arrive Ready for the Scene

Valet lines and parking areas during the week are full of special cars. Whether you want a classic Italian supercar or a commanding SUV, the right rental helps you feel part of the scene instead of watching from the sidelines.

Choosing the Right Car for Barrett-Jackson Week

The best car depends on how many people you are traveling with and how you plan to spend the week. These are the options in our Scottsdale fleet.

For Couples and Solo Enthusiasts

The Ferrari 488 Spider and the McLaren 720S Spider are the dream picks for car lovers. Both are two-seaters with retractable roofs, ideal for sunny January days. The Custom Corvette C8 Silver is another strong choice, with mid-engine looks and an approachable feel.

For Small Groups

The Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes G63 and Bentley Bentayga combine exotic presence with back seats and cargo space. They work well if you are traveling with friends or bringing back merchandise from the auction grounds.

For Larger Groups and Corporate Teams

The Escalade Premium Luxury and Lincoln Navigator carry bigger groups comfortably. If nobody wants to drive, our chauffeured Black Service can handle airport runs and evening events.

Planning Your Week

Book Early

Auction week is one of the busiest times of the year in Scottsdale, and many visitors plan their trips months ahead. Booking early gives you the best chance of getting the car you want on the dates you need. Cancelling 24 or more hours before pickup gets a full refund, so securing your car early carries less risk. See our cancellation policy for details.

Plan Delivery and Parking

Delivery and return within 15 miles of our office cost $60 each, which can save time on a packed schedule. Think about parking too. Event parking fills quickly, so leave extra time and choose secure spots.

Balance the Auction With Drives

Build in time to actually drive. A morning run north toward the McDowell Mountains, a cruise through Old Town or a day trip to red rock country all fit well around auction sessions. Our guide to driving from Scottsdale to Sedona covers one of the most popular routes.

Keep It Legal and Respectful

Car weeks can bring out the urge to show off, but our terms prohibit racing, speed tests, demonstrations and track use, as well as driving over 100 mph. Unpaved surfaces are not allowed, so skip dirt parking lots and gravel overflow areas when you can. The car must stay within 200 miles of the pickup zip code.

What to Have Ready Before You Book

Drivers must be 21 or older, and certain vehicles require drivers to be 25 or older.

A valid driver's license and full-coverage insurance in the same name, active until at least 7 days after the return.

A deposit held from 1 day before until 7 days after the rental, with $5,000 available. Paying by debit card means a cash deposit.

Mileage is 75 to 120 miles per day depending on the vehicle, with extra miles at 50 cents or $1 each.

Use 91 octane or higher fuel and return the car with the same fuel level or more. Late returns cost $50 per 30 minutes, so plan your last day carefully.

You can read every rule in our terms and conditions.

Fell for a Car at the Auction?

Auction week inspires plenty of buyers. If you want to put a luxury or exotic car in your own garage without a bank deciding for you, our Lease To Own program offers a path with no credit needed, and you can request a specific model. Terms and approval details are provided during consultation.
