Wedding Car Rental in Charlotte: Choosing a Luxury Ride for Your Big Day

A wedding day has a hundred moving parts, and the car is one of the few that shows up in almost every photo. Whether you want a dramatic getaway car outside the reception, a luxury SUV for the bridal party or a chauffeur so nobody has to think about driving, the right vehicle adds polish to the whole day. This guide covers how to plan a wedding car rental in Charlotte, which cars in our fleet fit different roles and what to have ready before you book.
How a Luxury Car Fits Into Your Wedding Day
Most couples use a rental for one or more of these moments. Deciding which ones matter to you is the first step.
The Getaway Car
The classic final shot: the couple leaving the reception while guests line the exit. A bold, photogenic car makes that moment unforgettable, and it gives you a comfortable ride to your hotel or after-party.
Photos Around Charlotte
Many couples plan portraits in Uptown, along tree-lined streets in neighborhoods like Myers Park, or near the water at Lake Norman. A luxury car in the frame gives your photographer another strong backdrop.
Getting the Wedding Party Around
A roomy SUV can carry the couple, a few members of the wedding party and their attire between the hotel, the ceremony and the reception.
The Rehearsal Dinner and the Morning After
Some couples book the car for more than one day so they can arrive at the rehearsal dinner in style and keep it for a relaxed brunch or the drive to start the honeymoon.
Choosing the Right Car from Our Charlotte Fleet
Our Charlotte lineup is small and focused, so each car plays a clear role.
Mercedes G63
The Mercedes G63 is a favorite for weddings because it photographs beautifully and still has room for passengers and garment bags. It works as both a getaway car and a bridal party vehicle.
Custom Black Lamborghini Urus
For a getaway that turns every head in the parking lot, the Custom Black Lamborghini Urus brings supercar style with SUV seating. It is a strong choice for a black-tie or evening reception.
Corvette C8 Silver
Planning a two-person exit or a sporty photo session? The Corvette C8 Silver is a sleek, mid-engine coupe for the couple. Keep in mind that a two-seat sports car has limited space for a full gown or luggage.
You can see the full lineup on the Charlotte rentals page.
Driving Yourself or Hiring a Chauffeur
On the wedding day itself, most couples would rather not drive. Think honestly about who will be behind the wheel.
If You Rent and Drive
The renter has to be the driver, and one additional driver is allowed if they are named on the contract and sign it. That additional driver could be a trusted friend or family member who is not drinking and is happy to handle the getaway. Everyone who drives must meet our age, license and insurance requirements. Rental cars also cannot be used to transport people for money, so a self-drive rental is for you and your guests, not a paid shuttle.
If You Prefer a Driver
For a hands-off experience, our Black Service offers chauffeured black car service in Charlotte. It is designed for special events and gives you a professional driver so the couple and wedding party can simply enjoy the day. Contact our team to talk through your timeline.
Wedding Day Logistics to Plan Ahead
Delivery: we can deliver and pick up the car at a location within 15 miles of our office for $60 each way, which is helpful if you want the car waiting at your hotel or venue.
Decorations: ask our team before you add anything to the car. The vehicle must be returned clean, and a cleaning fee of at least $60 applies if it is not.
Smoking: no smoking of any kind, including cigars for a celebration. Smoking forfeits the entire deposit.
Timing: late returns cost $50 for every 30 minutes, so build your return time around the end of the night, not the scheduled end of the reception.
Weather: we cannot offer refunds or date changes for unexpected weather, so have a rain plan for photos.
Cancellation: canceling 24 hours or more before pickup gets a full refund. Canceling less than 24 hours before pickup gets no refund. Details are on our cancellation policy page.
What You Need to Book
Drivers must be at least 21, or 25 for certain vehicles, with a valid driver's license and an active full-coverage insurance policy in the same name that stays active until at least 7 days after the rental. A security deposit is held from 1 day before the rental until 7 days after it, and you need at least $5,000 available. If you pay with a debit card, the security deposit must be provided in cash. Because wedding dates are fixed and popular weekends fill up, reserve as soon as your date and venue are set.
